Technical sheet for the ZWO Seestar S30 Pro smart telescope: description, specifications and strengths for all-in-one astrophotography.

ZWO Seestar S30 Pro smart telescope

Description

The Seestar S30 Pro is an all-in-one “smart” telescope from ZWO: optics, camera, motorized mount, battery and image processing are all packed into a single compact unit, controlled from a smartphone app. It carries two optical paths — a “tele” path (30mm aperture, 160mm focal length) for deep sky, and a wide-field path for framing and night landscapes — along with a motorized alt-azimuth mount capable of goto and continuous tracking (with an equatorial mode available).

It’s the opposite of a classic “mount + refractor + camera” setup: fewer settings, fewer cables, a lens cap that opens and observing that starts within minutes. Ideal alongside a heavier setup, or for quick sessions without a full rig.

⚙️ HARDWARE The built-in filters (OIII/Hα light-pollution filter, magnetic solar filter) make it possible to image from a light-polluted city sky or safely observe the Sun without extra accessories.
