Description
The Svbony SV106 is a versatile 60 mm guide scope (f/4, 240 mm focal length), a step up from the mini SV165 in both aperture and focal length. Its multi-coated achromatic doublet delivers a bright, contrasty image, sharp enough to lock onto a reference star without trying to match the sharpness of a main imaging refractor.
Its standout feature is its helical focuser: unlike a classic rack-and-pinion focuser, the collar doesn’t rotate during focusing, which avoids twisting the cable or introducing flexure on the guide camera’s sensor. The tube can also double as a straight-through finder scope with a 1.25" eyepiece for visual observing, making it a dual-purpose accessory.
