Magnetic dust cover for the Seestar S50 Pro
A 3D-printed magnetic dust cover to protect the Seestar S50 Pro lens between sessions.

How it works
The Seestar has no lens cap: once folded, its lens is left exposed to dust. This cover sits on the front face of the tube and is held in place magnetically. It comes off with one hand at the start of a session and goes back on just as easily at the end.
It was designed in SolidWorks (Maker edition) and printed on a Bambu Lab X1C. The telescope still folds normally with the cover in place.
Bill of materials
- Filament: matte black PLA
- Magnets: 5 × 1 mm round neodymium magnets (the ones I use, on Amazon.fr)
