Alchemy Factory takes the well-known factory game mechanic — extract, transform, automate, deliver — and repaints it entirely under a fantasy coat. No iron ore or steel plates here: you distill essences, combine ingredients in cauldrons, age potions on shelves. The gameplay structure is familiar to anyone who’s touched Factorio or Satisfactory, but the theming completely changes how the game feels.
Production chains built from magic
The real fun comes from how the alchemical recipes chain together: a raw ingredient often has to go through several transformation steps — grinding, distilling, infusing — before becoming a usable component, and every new research unlock opens up a new way to arrange your cauldrons for better efficiency. Optimizing your production chain here feels like brewing a potion at industrial scale.
Still young, but promising
The game is still in active development, with content growing regularly, and some systems remain rough around the balancing edges. But the core idea — an alchemy-themed factory game rather than an industrial one — is fresh enough to stand out in a genre that’s starting to feel saturated with variations on the same metallic theme.
