The fourth main entry in the series, Fallout 4 drops the player into a post-apocalyptic Boston where they must find a kidnapped son while exploring an open world dense with side quests, factions, and morally ambiguous choices. The game adds a fairly deep settlement-building system that lets you turn ruins into fully functional bases, on top of a refined S.P.E.C.I.A.L. combat system inherited from previous entries.
