Shapez 2 keeps the minimalist premise of the first game — cut, rotate, stack and paint geometric shapes to satisfy increasingly complex orders — and takes it into 3D with a near-total overhaul. Where the original Shapez stayed deliberately stripped-down, this sequel adds depth, stacked platforms, and far more design freedom.
The pure pleasure of optimization
What makes the game addictive is the absolute clarity of its loop: every shape is a logic puzzle to solve, every order a constraint to satisfy with the least amount of wasted conveyor belt. There’s no combat, no narrative, just you, a factory, and the irresistible urge to make your production chain a little cleaner, a little denser.
3D changes everything
The shift to verticality fundamentally changes the game compared to the original: you can now stack production floors and route conveyors above or below other lines, opening up possibilities for extreme miniaturization. It’s also more demanding to visualize, but once the 3D logic clicks, going back to the first Shapez feels almost flat by comparison.
