Subnautica 2 picks up the original game’s recipe — underwater exploration, scanning, base building, survival against deep-sea pressure — and adds genuine native multiplayer to explore the ocean together. Still developed by Unknown Worlds, the game launched into early access in May 2026 and is expected to keep evolving before its final release.
