Sunkenland starts from a premise that immediately calls Waterworld to mind: nearly all the land has vanished under the sea, leaving only building tops barely breaking the surface and scattered rocky islets. You land with nothing, and the first priority is building a floating raft so you have somewhere to lay your head without getting attacked in your sleep.

The raft as your base of operations

Unlike survival games built around a fixed base, here the whole setup floats and moves: you expand your raft plank by plank, add walls, turrets, gardens, and can literally sail your base toward new resource zones. It’s a mechanic that changes a lot about how you approach survival — no ground to defend, just a vessel to grow and protect while on the move.

Exploring the ruins, avoiding the mutants

The half-submerged buildings are packed with loot, but also with mutants lurking in the flooded floors and irradiated zones best avoided without proper gear. Still in early access, the game clearly has rough edges to polish, but the atmosphere of abandoned ruins rising from an endless sea has a fairly unique post-apo charm.
