Palia offers an online life-sim formula in the vein of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, but built as a genuine free-to-play MMO: house building and decorating, farming, fishing, crafting, treasure hunting and relationships with NPCs, all in a world shared with other players. The setting of Kilima Valley, abandoned by an ancient civilization called the Kilo, provides the backdrop for a relaxed progression with no time pressure or direct competition between players.
