Super Mario Party revives the board-game formula the series has used since the 90s, with dice to roll, stars to collect, and around fifty mini-games split into four categories (1-vs-3, 2-vs-2, solo, co-op). The addition of Toad’s Rec Room, which lets you dock two Switch consoles side by side to unlock exclusive mini-games, is the real novelty compared to previous entries. As always with the series, it really shines in a group setting rather than solo against the AI.
